Hughes Capital Management, LLC (HCM) is a fee-only registered investment advisor based in Edmond, Oklahoma. It was founded by Devin L. Hughes, CFA, who taught Advanced Topics in Investments at the University of Oklahoma for six years, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) with dual majors in Finance (Outstanding Senior) and Risk Management. He attended OU as a National Merit Scholar (1600 SAT). Honors included Price College of Business Outstanding Student, Beta Gamma Sigma & Phi Kappa Phi.

Devin is the President of GVPedia, a 501c3 that provides access to the largest Gun Study Database in existence and a repository of fact sheets about gun violence. He has been published in the Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, Politico, Slate, ThinkProgress, Vice, Vox, and The Washington Post. He is the 2008 Oklahoma State Chess Champion.

What We Do

HCM applies the academic findings of Behavioral Finance to the management of Individual Investment Accounts of at least $100,000.00. A 1% annual management fee is prorated quarterly for actively managed accounts under $1,000,000.00, and is deferred when a client’s portfolio return falls below its most recent quarterly high-water mark. The management fee drops to .5% annually, and is not deferred, after the first year for accounts not investing in individual stocks. Clients accounts are held at Schwab.
